Alien tumour

A tumour shaped like an alien has been discovered inside an American man.

Josh Abken, 36, went to see his doctor after suffering from persistent back pain and was horrified when an X-ray revealed he had a large, tentacled growth inside him.

The cancerous tumour - nicknamed 'Gill' - had been growing for almost a decade and over time moved his vital organs out of their normal positions.

He said: "You think you got a serious muscle pull or something, [but] the doctor has that serious doctor face you see on TV. They didn't really know what was growing inside of me."

The tumour was successfully removed and Josh will continue to have scans to make sure it doesn't come back.
