This Thanksgiving weekend the American Cornhole Organization will rap up the 2008 American Cornhole Masters Series season with the culmination of the TurkeyHole Classic. For the second year in a row the TurkeyHole Classic will be the final Master Series event. Professional cornhole players and semi professional players will match pitching skills to determine TurkeyHole Champions throughout the Midwest. Several hundred cornhole players will vie for TurkeyHole Classic crowns in Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, Columbus, OH, and Spartanburg, SC. The ACO has made a commitment to move the backyard game of cornhole to the national stage as the sport of cornhole and the AC Masters Series is doing just that.
American Cornhole Organization, the governing body of the sport of cornhole, takes its role to transform the backyard game of cornhole into a national sport seriously. The ACO has made great strides in standardizing the sport of cornhole. Whenever an ACO cornhole tournament or league is played the cornhole players are assured the rules, boards, and bags - all the elements of the game - have the same standards no matter where they play. Cornhole players can concentrate on game skills rather than on worrying about adjusting to equipment inconsistencies and cornhole rule variances.
The ACO has five signature American Cornhole Master Series Tournaments throughout the year. A good showing in one of these tournaments will get you an invitation to play in the King of Cornhole Tournament held in Las Vegas in January. Players can compete in the February IceHole Classic, the May CornHole de Mayo, the July MaizeKraze, the September CornHole Classic, and the November TurkeyHole Classic. The ACO has various other sanctioned ACO tournaments and leagues throughtout the year.
