Rachel Bilson is releasing a homeware line because she is "obsessed with dishes".
The former 'O.C.' actress has launched a vintage-inspired porcelain dinnerware collection, called Edie Rose Home by Rachel Bilson, and says she was inspired to do so as it is a different venture from the designer clothes labels and fragrances opted for by most other celebrities.
She told C Magazine: "To stick with fashion, that would be a little more predictable. But there's no one in my demographic, or really any 'celebrity' who has a similar aesthetic as me, who's doing home or tabletop design.
"I'm sort of obsessed with dishes. I'm always cooking and baking at home, and I hate going out. I'd love to do bedding, too."
Last year, Rachel teamed up with luxury label Coach to help raise money for charity.
The 29-year-old beauty selected three stunning bags from the firm's Poppy Collection to benefit children's charity The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organisation, which encourages working actors, artists and musicians to help youngsters who are battling serious illnesses.
Her representative Marcel Pariseau said: "Rachel looked over the selection of bags and decided which bags she would own herself, as well as the practicality of each bag for an appropriate time of day."
