Unemployment Claims Rise Again

by Daun Lee

Claims for unemployment benefits rose again last despite the rosy outlook that the economy is getting better. The number of individual requesting benefits rose by 25,000 last week which is much higher than economists had expected. In the States an estimated 9.25 million people are currently out of work and their job prospects don’t look good. Some employers around the country won’t hire people who have been out of the workforce. This is not promising news for the economy especially if new jobs aren’t being created.

Many states across the country have numbers of unemployed. States like Michigan, Arizona, Florida and Ohio currently have the highest rate of unemployed and consequently have high number of homes going into foreclosure. This is not good news for the real estate market which has been in trouble for a couple of years. Not as many people are buying homes because their values are at an all-time low. Faced with high mortgage payments, the unemployed must utilize foreclosure attorneys to help them during these financially devastating times.

People need shelter but are choosing to let their homes go in order to provide them with basic needs. With the assistance of a foreclosure lawyer the unemployed may not have to walk away from their homes. Admitting defeat and leaving a home is difficult but many people face this dilemma now more than ever. The expertise of a foreclosure attorney can be the champion for the downtrodden who are facing the seizure of their homes.
