The HVAC industry has been searching for a method to help their clients with identifying and measuring levels of the indoor environmental contaminants.
Eight (8) years ago, a major manufacturer of HVAC equipment consulted with their national premier contractors and asked to prioritize their top 10 requests for support from the manufacturer. The consensus #1 request response from the HVAC companies was for the IAQ Screen Check a simple do-it-yourself field test that the HVAC contractor could use to help their customers identify baseline indoor air quality conditions of their customers so that they could better serve them.
The Bio-Scan400™ was developed by the world-class scientists at EDLab—a division of interdisciplinary environmental consulting firm Pure Air Control Services, Inc.—as the core component of the IAQ Screen Check product line. Manufactured by Building Health Check, LLC, the DIY screen check kits offer a revolutionary test for identifying and determining the levels of various indoor air contaminants.
Building Health Check, LLC has teamed with many HVAC supply firms to offer the IAQ Screen Check line to HVAC dealers throughout the southeastern states.
One of the new distributors is Ferguson Supply, the third largest HVAC supply house in the nation.. “We are excited about the distribution capabilities of Ferguson Supply to reach the HVAC Dealers with our invaluable IAQ Screen Check Kit product,” said Ed Ziegler, vice president of business development at Building Health Check, LLC. “Ferguson Supply HVAC patrons can offer their residential and commercial customers indoor air quality help.”
Headquartered in Clearwater, FL, Building Health Check, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pure Air Control Services, Inc. and manufacturer of indoor environmental screen test kit products. In 2002, the company launched its innovative IAQ Screen Check line, which includes test kits for mold, bacteria (including staphylococcus), dust mites, fiberglass fibers, formaldehyde, mycotoxins, organic vapors (chemicals) and other allergens and irritants. The kits include complete instructions, sample collection devices, fact sheets, and American Industrial Hygiene Association accredited lab analyses, performed by the scientists at Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (AIHA 102795).
