Anna Wintour is inspired by the "girl on the street".
The US Vogue editor is looking forward to visiting the UK for London Fashion Week because she believes British fashions are so different to anywhere else.
She said: "I like seeing what the editors wear at the shows. They dress with such wit, imagination and originality - sometimes we're not quite as good at that in New York.
"I'm also interested in seeing just the girl on the street because she is unlike any other. I'm inspired by whatever it is she might be wearing."
Anna hailed Rodarte founders Kate and Laura Mulleavy as some of her current favourite British designers, saying they have the "imagination and originality to be in the same spirit as a John (Galliano) or an Alexander McQueen."
She is also a fan of fashion house Burberry and takes a keen interest in young talent.
She added in a video interview with the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I am always interested to see young designers, like Christopher Kane and Erdem. It's also fantastic for British fashion to have Burberry back in London - it's attracted so much press and increased the number of retailers who come over."
