New York Giants Receiver Plaxico Burress Shot in Club

New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress suffered and accidental gunshot wound Friday night while at a club.

According to reports Burress, a former first-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers, accidentally shot himself in the leg. The 31-year-old spent the night in the hospital with what was described as non life-threatening injuries.

Burress, a key member of the Giants Super Bowl squad from last year, was not scheduled to play in Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins due to a hamstring injury. The Giants have not commented on Friday’s incident.
