Foreign Contractors Working for UN Killed in Rocket Attack in Baghdad

A rocket attack on the Green Zone in Baghdad has killed two foreign contractors who were working for the UN and left at least 15 injured.

Violence in Baghdad has spiked over the past few days since the Iraqi parliament approved a deal that would keep U.S. troops on the streets through the middle of next year before their complete removal from the country by the end of 2011.

The two foreigners were working for a catering company that had been contracted by the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq.

The Green Zone is considered the most secure area in Baghdad as it houses several government offices and embassies and is heavily guarded by troops.
