Barack Obama Likely to Nominate Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State on Monday

The bitter political rivalry between President-elect Barack Obama and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is expected to end on Monday as Obama nominates the New York senator for Secretary of State.

Obama is expected to announce his national security team on Monday at a news conference at which time he will nominate Clinton.

The two were involved in one of the most memorable Democratic presidential campaigns in years as attacks were launched from both sides. Clinton often criticized Obama for his inexperience and questionable relationships while Obama labeled Clinton a Washington insider who backed the Iraq war.
