NFL Scores Week 13: Baltimore Ravens Dominate Overmatched Cincinnati Bengals, Keep AFC North Title Hopes Alive

Joe Flacco threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, Mark Clayton had 164 yards receiving and a TD and the Baltimore Ravens (8-4) defense held the Cincinnati Bengals (1-10-1) to just 155 yards of total offense in a 34-3 blowout on Sunday, remaining in the thick of things for the AFC North title.

Things started slow for the Ravens as they used a pair of field goals to take a 6-0 lead late into the second quarter but then Flacco found Todd Heap on a 4-yard toss to put Baltimore in front 13-0. Cincinnati managed to get a Shayne Graham field goal as time expired in the first half to get within 13-3 but that would do little good.

The Ravens used a bit of trickery in the third quarter to grab control of the game as Mark Clayton used his arm rather than his hands to get Baltimore in the endzone as he tossed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Mason. Less than three minutes later Clayton hauled in a 70-yard touchdown pass from Flacco and the Ravens carried a 27-3 advantage into the fourth.

Baltimore’s defense got to celebrate in the scoring in the final minutes of the game as Jim Leonhard picked off Jordan Palmer and returned it 35-yards for a touchdown.

At 8-4 the Ravens sit just half a game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers who lead the AFC North at 8-3.
