Jimmy Carr can't work on a hangover

Jimmy Carr could never do a show if he was hungover.

The '10 O'Clock Live' comedian admits to enjoying the odd tipple, but says he would never go out on a huge drinking session if he knew he had work the next day as he wouldn't be on top form.

He said: "I don't have any vices really. It's early on in my career - there's time for all that drugs and rehab. I do like proper old lady drinks though, like sherry and mint Baileys. I have no shame!

"But I couldn't do a show while hungover - the whole point of what I do is that you're sharp and quick-witted."

As well as making sure he eats and drinks in moderation, Jimmy also revealed he is a grooming addict, but has vowed to stop self-tanning.

He said: "I moisturise! I have no problem with preening. I have to wear make-up every day for work so I can't pretend to be one of the lads. I'm not one of the lads, I'm a pretty little doll.

"I tried a spray tan years ago - I'd been ill and was looking drawn. I won't do it again though, the bedsheets looked awful, like someone had a dirty protest. And it smelled horrendous!"
