Nick Lachey says wedding plans are slow

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are planning their wedding "slowly".

The singer-turned-presenter - who proposed to the TV beauty Last November after dating for four years - is looking forward to his impending nuptials and is pleased with their preparations so far.

He said: "We're working on it. We're getting there slowly but surely.we're inching our way along."

Speaking at a swim party hosted by Sports Illustrated at Vanity Nightclub in Las Vegas, the former reality TV star - who divorced Jessica Simpson in 2005 after three years of marriage - also revealed that no matter how many beautiful women surround him he only has eyes for his bride-to-be.

He told E! Online: "It's a look, no touch party for me so I'm just gonna enjoy it from afar.

"Vanessa looks as good if not better than any of the models you see behind me in a swimsuit."

Earlier this month, Nick, 37, told of how their engagement was part of a "carefully calculated plan" because he didn't want to fail in his proposal to the 30-year-old beauty.

He explained: "You gotta take it in stages. If you set the bar too high then you set yourself up for failure. This was a carefully calculated plan. You have to set the romance but you have to take it in phases. This was phase one."
