Nun's internet habit

A nun has been thrown out of a convent in Spain for spending too much time on Facebook.

Sister Maria Jesus Galan was asked to leave the 14th century Santo Domingo el Real convent in Toledo - where she spent 35 years - because of her interest in the social networking website.

However, Maria - who was dubbed 'Sister internet' by her disapproving peers - has seen the bright side of her dismissal and now plans to travel the world.

She wrote on her Facebook page: "I would like to visit London and New York. Such things were impossible to even dream when at the convent."
