Miles Kane refuses to choose between Gallagher brothers

Miles Kane refuses to take sides in the feud between the Gallagher brothers, despite working with them both.

The former Rascals singer, currently launching his debut solo album, is set to perform alongside both the feuding former Oasis men, recording a track with guitarist Noel and going on tour supporting singer Liam's new band Beady Eye. Despite his compromising position, however, Miles won't choose between the pair.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Noel is a lovely fella. He sings backing vocals on a track called 'My Fantasy' on my album. He came down to see me when I was recording one afternoon and I was doing backing vocals so he said he'd sing as well. It sounds cool and his voice sounds great. We get on well.

"I don't really know Liam yet but I'm really looking forward to hanging out with him. I was honoured he asked me to support Beady Eye on tour."

Oasis split in summer 2009 after a fall out between Liam and Noel, and the brothers have been locked in a public slanging match ever since.

Earlier this month Liam said of his brother: "Me and him have got the a**e with each other and will have for a long, long time."

Meanwhile, Miles, 24, admits he has a healthy competitive streak of his own, between him and his friend and band mate in side project The Last Shadow Puppets, Alex Turner, who is also the leader of Arctic Monkeys.

He said: "We are best friends. But I also think there's a bit of competition. If he writes a great tune, then I want to write a great tune. It's healthy for both of us."
