Kate Bosworth, Alexa Chung and Rachel Bilson were all in the front row at the Burberry Prorsum show at London Fashion Week yesterday (21.02.11).
The trio of beauties were joined by the likes of Daisy Lowe, Lily Donaldson and Anna Wintour at the Kensington Gardens and Kate made sure she stood out in a Burberry pencil skirt paved with spikes and studs.
She said of the outfit: "Everybody is asking me if it hurts to sit down with the studs, but it doesn't at all, it's just very heavy."
The autumn/winter 2011 collection - designed by Christopher Bailey - was inspired by archive photographs by David Bailey of Jean Shrimpton, a house model in the 60s, and the British weather, while the shapes were based on the sculptures of Barbara Hepworth.
Coats came in bold primary shades of orange, scarlet, purple, and blue, together with olive, and classic black, white and monochrome cashmere and wool, bold, plaids and autumnal tweeds while they were detailed with epaulettes, military buttons, kimono sleeves, half-belts across the lower spine, gathered skirts, dropped waists and leather strap fastenings across the bust.
As well as an array of stunning coats, dresses were also included and most were in white with cleavage cut-outs and cutaway backs.
Other designers to show at London Fashion Week yesterday included Giles Deacon and Julien Macdonald.
