Quarter-tonne teen

A British teenager has tipped the scales at 599lbs aged just 17.

Despite being sent to a US fat camp where she shed 210lbs, Georgia Davis' weight has shot back up to make her the nation's first teen to weigh a quarter of a tonne.

She said despite being taught how to exercise and follow a healthy diet at the Wellspring Academy in North Carolina, she just can't stop eating when she feels sad about her ever-increasing frame.

Georgia told The Sun Newspaper: "I try not to think about it too much, otherwise I panic and it makes my eating problem worse - but I do know it is serious.

"This is my problem and I know I have to solve it again just like I have in the past.

"But I'm only human and I'd be lying if I said I didn't need support."
