EastEnders' Tanya Branning is to ditch her toyboy lover at the altar.
The divorced mum-of-three - played by actress Jo Joyner - is looking forward to what should be the happiest day of her life, marrying hunky handyman Greg Jessop (Stefan Booth).
However, the couple's romantic plans come crashing to a standstill when Tanya dramatically flees the church shortly after saying her vows to be by the side of her bad boy ex-husband Max Branning (Jake Wood), who has been seriously injured in a road accident.
After hearing the news from Max's brother Jack (Scott Maslen), a teary Tanya appears heartbroken as she dashes away from the ceremony to keep a vigil by the side of her cheating ex-husband.
Stefan Booth - who has played Tanya's fiance in the BBC One soap since October - recently admitted there is a chance his on-screen love could get back together with her former flame in the future, despite Greg being a "doting" boyfriend.
He explained: "I know there's a danger Tanya could end up back with Max again, but I'd like to think their future could sustain a healthy long-term relationship. Greg sees no reason why he and Max can't live side by side in peace.
"Greg assures her it will be fine. She hasn't had that sort of doting affection from Max. No matter what happens, Greg will always be there for her."
