New Look Knicks Down Bucks
Carmelo Anthony scores 27 points in debut
It was a day that Carmelo Anthony had been waiting no for a long time, his debut game with the New York Knicks. The game did not disappoint as two of the new Knicks players combined for 48 points and a win at Madison Square Garden.
Not everything went as planned. Amare Stoudemire got a technical foul after fouling out of the game. It is Stoudemire's 15th technical, meaning one more and he will be forced to sit out a game.
John Salmons matched Anthony's output with 27 points of his own for Milwaukee , with Andrew Bogut adding another 14 points. The Bucks were able to make it a game late, but the star power of New York took over and led them to the 114-108 victory.
The win is a good sign for the Knicks, who have had little time to practice together. As they continue to integrate the new members and build chemistry, the team should become more comfortable on the floor and playing with each other. If they can make a run in the East remains to be seen.
