Adrian Chiles chat show to get second series

'That Sunday Night Show' has been commissioned for a second series.

The ITV1 show - hosted by Adrian Chiles - attracted a healthy 17 per cent share of viewers during its first run, with an average of 3.7 million per episode, and bosses are keen for another run of programmes.

Director of ITV Entertainment and Comedy, Elaine Bedell said: "'That Sunday Night Show' has established itself very quickly as a popular part of the ITV weekend entertainment line-up. It's a very watchable, and very funny, reflection on the week, with an often eclectic guest list."

During the first series, Adrian was joined by a panel of celebrity guests, including Lord Alan Sugar, Frank Skinner, Alastair Campbell and Bob Geldof.

Adrian also presents 'Daybreak' alongside Christine Bleakley and the 43-year-old star recently admitted he was "embarrassed" by the ITV1 morning show's huge launch in September.

He explained: "It was a very big launch and that was the main thing I would have changed. It was embarrassing seeing myself on a big billboard. I wanted to keep it quiet. I don't think the British public wants to be told what to watch.

"I wish we hadn't done that and let people discover it for themselves - more low key with less fanfare. We set ourselves up for a kicking, which we duly got. It's been a stressful time but we feel that things are moving in the right direction. The scars and bruises are now starting to heal. I think we have turned a corner."
