Bill Nighy has begged Gore Verbinski to cast him in a movie where the audience can see his face.
The British star has worked with the famous director on 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' where he played tentacle-faced baddie Davy Jones and more recently in animated movie 'Rango' as an evil rattlesnake and Gore joked: "He does want me to cast him at some point where I can see his face."
Gore revealed he chose Bill for the part because he considers the 61-year-old actor to be one of the most versatile performers around and because he knew he could put off the southern accent required for the cartoon western.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Bill is a guy who I've worked with before and he can just do anything, I honestly believe that. He falls into that. If you had to take five actors to an island and you had to do seven genres and you could only use the same five actors, he can really transform himself. He's very aware of the sound of his voice. Very much carving a sonic landscape with his voice.
"I just called him up, talked a little bit about the character. I think it's easier for a Brit to do a southern accent actually, than it is to do a straight California accent."
