Sharon Osbourne thinks Cheryl's got The X Factor

Sharon Osbourne thinks Cheryl Cole will be "great" on the US version of 'The X Factor'.

Although Simon Cowell is yet to confirm the line-up of judges, Sharon believes the 'Promise This' singer - who replaced Sharon on the judging panel on the UK show - will win over the American public, despite concerns about her Geordie accent.

She said: "Americans won't understand a bl***y word of unadulterated Geordie. But with a little help - and those gorgeous Bambi eyes - she'll win the audience over. Cheryl will be great.

"She needs to know what she can and can't say, but after that it'll be plain sailing. And she has Simon's full backing so she will be just fine, no matter what."

Sharon believes Simon and Cheryl won't be returning to the UK show, but it is unknown who will be sitting next to them when the programme goes Stateside.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Cheryl and Simon are the only two confirmed for the 'US X Factor' so far. They won't be doing the UK show, I'm pretty certain.

"Simon's going to decide at the last minute who he wants to complete the panel, but Mariah Carey's still in the frame."

Cheryl is reportedly having elocution lessons in a bid to tone down her regional accent.
