Cilla Black is eyeing a role in 'Coronation Street'.
The 67-year-old TV veteran explained she is keen to follow in the footsteps of British rockers Status Quo and make a one-off cameo appearance in the ITV1 soap.
She said: "I grew up with 'Corrie' and it's as good today as it ever was. ITV have said they'd like me to do it but it never happens. I wouldn't want to be in it for very long. But perhaps I could just be myself, like when Status Quo were in a couple of episodes. I'd love that.
"I like to dip my toe in now and again. Anything that doesn't take up all my time."
Meanwhile, the former 'Blind Date' host recently made a cameo in ITV1 sitcom 'Benidorm', and she admitted playing a saucy swinger was "great fun".
Cilla added to The Sun newspaper: "I'm a big fan of 'Benidorm'. The writer, Derren Litten, asked if I'd appear in an episode. It was only three days' filming. It was great fun and the cast were wonderful. They threw a dinner for me at the end.
"I end up living in the Garveys' house in the hills. I have a wild side in the episode. I spend time hanging around with the swingers. It's a cameo - not how I am in real life, believe me."
