Jimmy and Nicola King's relationship to reach breaking point?

Emmerdale's Jimmy and Nicola King's relationship could be set to reach breaking point.

Nick Miles - who plays the haulage driver - explained the couple will struggle to come to terms with the sudden amnesia his alter-ego has developed after being involved in a brutal attack, particularly when Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) puts unnecessary pressure on him to regain his memory.

He explained: "Jimmy doesn't recognise Nicola at all and he also doesn't recognise his daughter Angelica. He has no feelings for Nicola - he doesn't find her unattractive but, at the same time, she's in his face giving him a lot of pressure to remember, which he finds increasingly intolerable.

"So the relationship looks like it's in a very bad way."

The 48-year-old actor admitted he and his fellow cast members affected by the harrowing storyline have all been reduced to tears while acting out the tragic scenes.

Nick added to Digital Spy: "It's been awful - there were moments that we had to do the other day with Angelica, and we were all in tears. It is difficult because we're great mates, we spend a lot of time together and we've built up a lot of investment in those two characters and their love for each other.

"So it has been emotional playing this coldness - this absolute non-feeling for Nicola."
