Kevin Costner isn't afraid of failure.
The 55-year-old actor has starred in several flop movies, including 'Waterworld' and 'The Postman' but insists he doesn't care about their poor performance as he hasn't enjoyed success.
He said: "I'm not afraid to fail and I'm not overly impressed with success.
"I've learned that failure doesn't kill you."
Kevin believes he isn't always a popular box office choice for studios anymore because of economic restraints, though he also admits he won't take on work that he doesn't have full control over.
He explained: "I haven't worked for a really long time because I tend to make movies that aren't sequels, so I'm not exactly in vogue.
"I can make a movie for $6 million, but most of the time it's going to be around $30 million or $40 million and Hollywood is very leery of movies that cost between $10 million and $150 million dollars.
"I won't make a movie unless I have the ability to do it the way I want, so I hold my breath for a long time. At this point in my life, I don't want to make a movie I don't want to make or one that gets manipulated in a way I don't feel comfortable with."
