Tess Daly reveals Strictly romances

Tess Daly has revealed there are lots of secret romances on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The host of the BBC One show was glad when 2010 series winner Kara Tointon admitted she was dating her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev, and has hinted there are more many more romantic liaisons going on behind the scenes that viewers don't know about.

She said: "They are such a cute couple - but thank God that finally a couple came clean about it. There's always tons of romance, but no one ever admits it."

Other rumoured couples from the last series of the ballroom show include former soap star Tina O'Brien and rugby hunk Gavin Henson, while 2009 dancing partners Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff admitted after the show had finished they had started a romance with each other.

Tess, who is married to fellow TV host Vernon Kay, also explained while he is currently working away in the US she has had to look after their children - Phoebe, six, and Amber, 18 months - on her own, which she feels will deserve a significant reward by the time he returns.

She added: "I worked out that I've done 45 school runs on my own, so that's worth at least a spa weekend! But I can't see us upping sticks and moving to Los Angeles.

"A couple of months in the sunshine would be nice though."
