Kate Walsh feels pressured to be "perfect" in her new TV role.
The former 'Apprentice' contestant - who stepped in at the last minute to host Channel Five's 'OK! TV' alongside Matt Johnson after Denise Van Outen dropped out - thinks she has to "step up her game" in order to keep TV bosses impressed after her 18-month stint on 'Live From Studio Five' recently came to an end.
She said: "I was nervous because I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted to step up my game, so the pressure was on.
"In television, there's always a fear about what's going to come up next. But I was feeling positive that I'd still be working with Channel Five in some way, shape or form. It's good I didn't burn my bridges, not that I would do that anyway. You've got to be dignified about these things."
The 29-year-old blonde also revealed she was surprised to be asked to host the show, but is "really grateful" and hopes her new presenting job will be long-term.
She explained: "I'd come to terms with 'Live From Studio Five' finishing and was considering my options. I'd put a showreel together but was also thinking about business opportunities. I don't know what went on with Denise but, to be completely honest, it doesn't matter - I'm just really grateful! I'm keeping everything crossed that the role is permanent!"
