Two Suicide Bombings in Falluja Kill at least 15, Dozens Injured

At least 15 people were killed and dozens more injured after suicide bombers detonated explosives packed in vehicles in the Iraqi city of Falluja.

The attacks targeted police positions within the city and occurred minutes apart. The blasts not only caused severe damage to the police posts but also destroyed homes nearby.

Police posts are often surrounded by concrete barriers but they are a constant target of Sunni insurgents who have called for the removal of U.S. troops in Iraq.

Falluja, once a constant scene of attacks, has calmed over recent months as more checkpoints and security measures have been implemented.
