Prince Andrew faces job axe after teenager's revelations

Britain's Prince Andrew faces losing his job as an ambassador after a girl involved in an underage sex case revealed they were friends.

The Duke of York's role as trade envoy is reportedly being questioned after he spent time with 17-year-old Virginia Roberts - whom he was introduced to by his billionaire friend Jeffrey Epstein - who was hired by the US businessman as an "erotic masseuse".

After the 51-year-old prince was introduced to Virginia by his close pal - with whom he remains friends, despite him having admitted to child sex crimes in 2008 - she claims Epstein's friend Ghislaine Maxwell told her: "You did well. He had fun".

During the meeting, Andrew was snapped with his arm around the bare midriff of the teen after she was flown by Epstein to the UK especially to meet him.

The revelations came about when the now mum-of-three alleged in a civil writ against the businessman that her duties had included being "sexually exploited by Epstein's adult male peers including royalty".

According to Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper, Virginia says she met Prince Andrew three times; first, when she accompanied Epstein on a six-week trip to Europe and North Africa in 2001.

The second time at Easter 2001 at Epstein's lavish home in New York and a third encounter with the prince on Epstein's Caribbean island, by which time she was 18.

Despite the claims, there is no suggestion there was ever any sexual contact between her and the prince or that Andrew knew Epstein had paid her to have sexual contact with his friends.
