A British mourner was left red-faced when his mobile phone went off during a funeral - with the ringtone set to 'Staying Alive'.
The inappropriate Bee Gees song echoed around St Margaret's Church in Brighton, much to the mortification of the everyone who was there to pay tribute to a deceased loved one.
Now Reverend Martin Morgan is urging his parishioners to make sure their gadgets are switched off before he conducts a service.
He said: "It took a while before people realised what the song was and then fortunately most people found it quite funny. The culprit looked very embarrassed. I think they probably looked in the other direction and tried to pretend it wasn't them. That's what people usually do.
"I don't want to be one of those people who says 'no phones' 'no cameras', 'no confetti' but it could have been very awkward when that phone went off."
