NBA Schedule Thursday Dec. 4: Dallas Mavericks Look for Third Straight Win, Host Phoenix Suns

There are just two games scheduled in the NBA for Thursday night but they feature four of the top teams in the Western Conference as the Phoenix Suns travel to the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs hit the road to take on the Denver Nuggets.

The Mavericks (9-8) have won two in a row but have struggled at home, posting a 3-4 mark in Dallas while the Phoenix Suns (11-8) have dropped their last three including a Wednesday night loss to the New Orleans Hornets. Dirk Nowitzki has led the Mavs with 24.2 points per game and 8.9 rebounds while Jason Kidd leads the team with 8.5 assists per contest. The Suns have been without Shaquille O’Neal and Steve Nash for the last two games but both should b in the line-up tonight. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Denver Nuggets (13-6) will be looking for their fourth straight win on Thursday night when they host the San Antonio Spurs (9-8). After winning seven of eight the Spurs have dropped their last two games but have a 4-3 mark on the road and will certainly challenge the Nuggets who have been surging since Chauncey Billups arrived from Detroit. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
