4 Americans Die in Plane Crash in United Arab Emirates

A plane carrying four United States citizens crashed in United Arab Emirates Sunday night, the U.S. Embassy announced Monday. The McKinnon Turbo Goose G21G went down just minutes after taking off from the Al Ain International Airport around 8 p.m. It burst into flames upon impact.

All four Americans died. Officials have not released their names. The cause of the crash remains unclear and is being investigated. The aircraft was operated by Addison, Texas-based Triple S Aviation. It was bound for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when it crashed.

"On behalf of the government and people of the United States, the US Mission to the United Arab Emirates extends its deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the crash in Al Ain on February 27. Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who perished in last night's tragic event," the U.S. Embassy said in a statement.
