Tech Coast Venture Network Appoints Ciaran Foley as Chairman and Kevin McDonald as President

Outgoing Chairman Bart Greenberg to Remain Active in TCVN as Chair Emeritus

Orange County-based Tech Coast Venture Network announced today the appointments of Ciaran Foley as Chairman of the Board and Kevin McDonald as President.  Bart Greenberg, who served as Chairman since August 2005, is retiring from the position.  He plans to remain active in TCVN as Chair Emeritus. TCVN is an organization that has been dedicated to educating and assisting entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies for the past 25 years. TCVN does this by connecting them with capital, advice, and value-added resources to help their businesses grow.

When asked, TCVN’s new officers had the following comments about their appointments.  "It has been a tremendous honor acting as President of an organization with as much history and credibility as TCVN in 2010,” said Ciaran Foley. “It is an even greater privilege to have been nominated to replace our outgoing Chairman, Bart Greenberg, this year.  It is a role I accept with great humility and gratitude. TCVN's success cannot be attributed to any one person, but it is under the guidance of Mr. Greenberg that TCVN has enjoyed continued success for the last 5 plus years, thanks in part to his hard work, sterling reputation and positive influence in the community. Along with a newly invigorated executive team, Mr. Greenberg as Chair Emeritus and our new President, Kevin McDonald, I plan to build upon the excellent foundation already in place and elevate TCVN to even greater prominence as a resource for entrepreneurs in Southern California."

“TCVN is a stalwart southern California institution. It has been the catalyst for untold successes over its quarter century history,” said incoming President Kevin McDonald.  “TCVN will have significant impact on innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit for many years to come. I am truly honored to be a part of taking TCVM to the next level. I eagerly look forward to working with our new Chairman, the Executive Committee and our members at large. We cannot ignore the tireless work of Chair Emeritus, Bart Greenberg. Bart, along with key members of the Executive Committee, managed to keep TCVN active, solvent and relevant during one of the worst economic downturns in American history.  With the growing improvements in the global economy, and the vast number of new business owners starting their journey, we will have plenty of opportunity to keep us all busy,” McDonald continued.
