Boston Celtics Edge Utah Jazz in Harris and Favors' First Game

The Boston Celtics and the Utah Jazz played an ugly game last night that featured two teams still adjusting to roster changes made late last week. The Jazz were without Deron William and were debuting players Devin Harris and Derrick Favors. The Celtics were trying to move forward with newly acquired Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic.

For their part, Harris and Favors combined for 27 points, but the two teams combined for 26 turnovers and one double technical with three minutes left in the game. Al Jefferson was called for one of the technicals, but played an otherwise brilliant game scoring 28 points and grabbing 19 rebounds on the night.

Jefferson couldn't outdo Ray Allen of the Celtics. Allen scored 25 points, but managed to make big shots when they counted. His play down the stretch allowed the Celtics to hold on to the lead and win the game 107-102. The Jazz were upset about their fifth loss in six games, but looked on the bright side. The team gave a great effort and should see more victories as they build chemistry with the new pieces.
