Gunmen Net More than $100 Million in Jewelry Heist in Paris

At least $102 million worth of jewels were stolen from the exclusive Harry Winston jewelry store in Paris after a group of at least four gunmen, some disguised as women, entered the store and wiped out nearly the entire inventory.

There were several shoppers and employees in the store when the gunmen entered on Thursday afternoon. According to police the robbers were well informed as they identified employees by name and knew where jewelry not on display was kept.

Just over a year ago Harry Winston was hit by another robbery in which an estimated $13 million worth of jewels were stolen.
