Residents in a British village were furious when a neighbour parked a $16,200 tank outside his home.
Nicholas Kravchenko drove the huge green crane, designed to carry out battlefield repairs, and left it in a lay-by to be branded an "eye sore" by disgruntled locals.
Police were called in to settle the "neighbourhood dispute" amid claims the tank was intimidating people.
Retired army engineer Nicholas claimed he was being unfairly treated.
He said: "It's not intimidating, because it's a square box with a Rolls-Royce engine in it and it doesn't stick out in the road."
"I can go out and drive it any time I like. There's no law to stop anyone having 10 tanks."
