Channing Tatum is working on 'Peter Pan Begins'.
The 'Eagle' actor has teamed up with screenwriter Billy Ray and 'Alice in Wonderland' producer Joe Roth for the project, with the trio pitching the idea to studios this week.
Few details are currently known about the film, other than it would focus on the origins of J. M. Barrie's classic tale of the boy who never grew up.
Channing was most recently involved in 'The Dilemma', the Ron Howard-directed comedy which was branded homophobic by some cinemagoers due to the trailer, which features Vince Vaughn calling an electric car "gay".
Before he can begin work on his new film, the actor has a number of ventures in the pipeline.
The 30-year-old hunk will next be seen in romantic drama 'The Vow' alongside Rachel McAdams and Sam Neill.
He is also in the frame for a role in the forthcoming '21 Jump Street' movie, adapted from the TV series of the same name.
