An incident involving a U.S. military bus at Frankfurt Airport in Germany left two people dead and two others wounded. Officials have released few details on what happened, but it is believed the driver of the bus and one U.S. Air Force airman were killed. The other wounded men are also believed to be airmen.
A police spokesman confirmed one person is in custody. The spokesman did not confirm reports the person in custody is a 21-year-old Kosovo national. The suspect reportedly opened fire on the bus while it was parked in front of Terminal 2.
An unnamed United States official said the airmen involved are from the Lakenheath base in the U.K. and were on their way to a deployment when the shooting occurred. A European military official said the men were going to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Authorities have not identified anyone involved in the incident.
