Scientists in Alaska found the cremated remains of a child buried 11,500 years ago.
The youngster, who was around three years old, was found in the remnants of an ancient house and was discovered to have originated from when the first humans were spreading out through the Americas.
The unprecedented discovery of the partial skeleton was a welcome one as archaeologists have found very few living quarters from this period.
Continued work at the site will open a window into the first migration of humans to the New World.
