Chad Pennington was 22/29 passing for 181 yards and a touchdown, Ronnie Brown rushed for 70 yards Davone Bess had 74 yards receiving and the Miami Dolphins (8-5) defense held the Buffalo Bills (6-7) to just 207 yards of total offense in a 16-3 win on Sunday to keep their hopes of an AFC East title alive.
Pennington put the Dolphins in front 7-0 in the first quarter with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Fassano but the Bills answered with a field goal from Rian Lindell to get Buffalo on the board.
The Dolphins had to settle for a pair of field goals from Dan Carpenter in the second quarter but the Miami defense shut down the Bills offense and the score was 13-3 at the break.
Carpenter added a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to seal the game. With the New England Patriots picking up a win on Sunday and the NY Jets losing the AFC now has three teams sitting at 8-5 on the year.
