Corrie to re-introduce four characters

'Coronation Street' is re-introducing four old characters to the soap this Easter.

Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley), Violet Wilson (Jenny Platt), Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) and Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) will all return to the ITV1 show as part of a London-based special, which will be aired over the Easter holiday period.

With Todd travelling back to his hometown of Weatherfield from London to introduce his wealthy new boyfriend to his mother Eileen (Sue Cleaver), his arrival could be set to cause plenty of havoc for the Street's residents.

Meanwhile, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), who is also gay, will travel to the capital to see his son Dylan, as well as Violet - who conceived after the pair made a pact to have a baby together if they both ended up childless and single at 30 - and her boyfriend, Jamie.

While in London, Sean bumps into his ex-boyfriend, Marcus (Charlie Condou) and although he is delighted to see him, the visit is set to throw up some unexpected surprises.

A 'Coronation Street' spokesperson said: "Sean is desperate to be a real dad to Dylan so when Violet says he can visit, he is thrilled but when he arrives in the capital he is in for a few surprises.

"Meanwhile, back in Weatherfield, Todd has returned home for Easter - but how does he feel about Coronation Street now he has a rich boyfriend in tow and a glamorous life in London?"

Filming of the special London-based episode will start in later in March.
