Suspects in 9/11 Attacks to Plead Guilty at Guantanamo Bay Trial

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four co-defendants accused of masterminding and orchestrating the 9/11 attacks in the United States have told a military judge at Guantanamo Bay that they would plead guilty to the charges.

The guilty plea would almost certainly guarantee the five men received the death penalty for the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

There has been no date set for the full military tribunal where the men would face trial.

According to the Pentagon Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has already admitted responsibility for the attacks carried out on Sept. 11, 2001.
