Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have been told they must re-audition for their judging roles on 'The X Factor'.
The duo have reportedly been told by boss Simon Cowell they need to re-apply for their jobs and attend an interview if they want to be part of the eighth series of the ITV1 talent show in a bid to shake things up.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon wants them both back on the panel because he loves the chemistry they have developed. The fact he has ordered them to re-audition and screen test for their jobs is something of a formality - both are assured of the position.
"However it is still pretty galling and to have to go through the motions of explaining why they would be good for the role, and what they could bring to the position, is extremely frustrating.
"But Simon is determined to avoid complacency this series and wants all the judges to be at the top of their game. They are two of the most sought-after jobs in the industry so it's only fair they apply for their places just like everybody else."
The show faces a huge shake up this year as Simon is busy concentrating on launching the programme in America later this year, and fellow judge Cheryl Cole is set to join him on the panel.
It is unknown whether Simon will be involved with both shows, while Nicole Scherzinger is said to be replacing Cheryl after she impressed viewers when she appeared on the UK series last year.
