Miami Heat Players Literally Cry After Loss

James, Wade, and Company Continue to Struggle

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra recently said that some of the Miami Heat players were moved to tears after their dissappointing 86-87 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Following a blowout by the San Antonio Spurs on Friday and a historic and heart-breaking comeback by the Orlando Magic on Thursday, the Heat's loss to the Bulls marked their third straight loss to the Chicago team this season. Miami's loss also caused the Bulls to acquire the Heat's former #2 spot in the East. So, now the Heat are 0-3 against the Bulls and 0-3 against the Boston Celtics this season, the #2 and #1 teams in the East, respectively, according to season records.

"This is painful for every single one of us to go through this, there are couple of guys crying in the locker room right now, it is not a matter of want," said Spoelstra after Sunday's game.

"Inside our locker room, we stick together, we're like brothers," said Dwyane Wade, who has failed to make various game-deciding shots this season. "We win together, we lose together. Outside, the Miami Heat are exactly what everyone wanted, losing games. The world is better now since the Heat is losing."

"I told my team, I'm not going to continue to fail late in games," said LeBron James, who has also been failing to make important last-minute shots. "I put a lot of blame on myself tonight. I told the guys that I just keep failing them late in games and I won't continue to do that."

With the 2011 NBA Playoffs just around the corner, the Miami Heat team might be feeling more pressure than they have felt at any other point during the season. Sure they have one of the best records in the East, but the Heat team still seems to need a lot of work if they want to make it through to the Finals this year. In particular, there is a growing concern among Heat fans: Can the Heat win a series against the Bulls or the Celtics?
