Robbie Williams is reportedly "terrified" of being a judge on 'The X Factor'.
The Take That star - who suffers from crippling stage fright - is believed to have been offered £2 million to take Simon Cowell's place on the judging panel of the ITV1 show but plans to turn it down, as he is wary of putting himself in such a high-profile position.
A source told Star magazine: "With Simon leaving to judge the US show, he's convinced Robbie would be the perfect successor. Rob's likeable, opinionated and funny. But money has been a stumbling block. He wants more of an incentive to put himself out there on live TV every week.
"It's one thing getting up and singing to millions of people, but quite another to sit there and give an opinion in front of all those viewers. The thought alone terrifies him."
While Robbie is reluctant to star on the show, Sharon Osbourne - who quit the programme three years ago - would love to return, and insists she no longer has a problem with current judge Dannii Minogue.
She said: "It's fair enough to say that we didn't get on for a long time. But that's all in the past. Dannii used to just be an old 1980s disco queen to me, but now she's blossomed into a true woman and I have respect for her."
"I would love to return to 'The X Factor' and sit alongside Louis Walsh and Dannii again - it's time for me to come home."
