Gwen Stefani hasn't had 'easiest journey' with Gavin

Gwen Stefani's marriage with Gavin Rossdale "hasn't been the easiest journey".

The No Doubt singer has been with the Bush musician for 14 years and she is "proud" of that "accomplishment" because of the revelations that have rocked their union.

Gwen - who has two sons, Kingston, four, and Zuma, two, with Gavin - told Elle magazine: "I've been with Gavin for 14 years, and, let's face it, that is a huge accomplishment.

"I feel so proud of that - it hasn't been the easiest journey."

It emerged in 2004 that model Daisy Lowe is Gavin's daughter from a relationship he had with her mother Pearl Lowe in the late 1980s. He had been her godfather prior to being told of his paternity.

Last year, the 45-year-old musician finally admitted to having a homosexual affair with gender-bending British pop star Marilyn in the same decade when he was in his late teens.

Speaking about his sexuality, Gavin - who had refused for years to comment on Marilyn's claims they had a relationship - said at the time: "I think at the outset there was a sort of fear - that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn't want it to be part of it.

"I've never wanted to appear closed about it. It's not something I've talked about really because it's always been in the glare of a tabloid world. It's just one of those things - move on.

"When you're 17, Jesus Christ, I don't think there's anything strange about any form of anything - you're learning about life. It's a part of growing up. That's it. No more, no less."
