Spider cars recalled

Cars in the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico are being recalled because spiders have been found living inside them.

Japanese carmaker Mazda is recalling 65,000 vehicles after 20 cases of yellow sac spiders in the fuel system had been reported.

Company spokesman Jeremy Barnes said the critters could increase pressure in the fuel tank, leading to possible cracks and fire risks.

He said he didn't know why the species of spider keep being found in the cars but joked: "Perhaps yellow sac spiders like to go zoom-zoom?"
