College Student Missing in Spain Found Dead

The body of an American college student who went missing last month in Madrid, Spain was found early Tuesday in the Manzanares River. Spanish authorities say the remains of Austin Taylor Bice, 22, were discovered after part of the river was drained. There were no immediate signs of foul play. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Bice was last seen February 26 when he went out with 5 friends. According to reports, he was denied entry to La Riviera nightclub because he was drunk. Bice disappeared after telling his friends he would walk home alone. The section of river in which he body was found is about 5 blocks away from La Riviera.

Bice was a student at San Diego State University. He was studying business at Madrid’s University of Carlos III as part of an exchange program.
