Charlie Sheen's "worst secrets" could be revealed if he goes to court against Brooke Mueller.
The actor and his ex-wife agreed to cancel a scheduled court appearance today (08.03.11) which a friend believes is a good thing, as a public custody battle over access to their twin sons, Bob and Max, would ruin them both.
The source told website Radaronline.com: "Charlie has done things with Brooke that the public doesn't know about. I'm talking about in the arena of sex and drugs, and these things are shocking, even for Sheen.
"A public all-out war between Charlie and Brooke will be devastating to both. They each have so much dirt on the other it's amazing."
Charlie's recent erratic behaviour and drug use have seen him fired from sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' and Brooke - who has also recently struggled with drug addiction - has taken out a restraining order against him, which prevents him from having any contact with his 23-month-old twins.
However, the source added: "He can hurt her as badly as she can hurt him. Going to court and waging all-out war will harm both of them badly."
Meanwhile, another close friend of the couple, Kathy Hilton - mother of heiress Paris Hilton - has pleaded for the 45-year-old star and his ex wife to work things out for the sake of their boys.
She said: "I was happy to hear that Brooke and Charlie cancelled court today.
"The most important thing that they do together is work things out amicably and co-parent their children.
"I just know that Brooke does not malign Charlie, and from what I hear he doesn't talk unkindly about her.
"I know that they both love their children and their children love them. They are happy kids."
Charlie also has three other children: Girls Sam, six, and Lola, five, with his second ex-wife Denise Richards and an adult daughter from another relationship.
