Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois on Lockdown after Gun Threat

Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois is on lockdown after police received an alert that someone had been spotted on the campus carrying a gun.

There have been no reports of injuries and all students are said to be safe.

According to the Waubonsie Valley High School Web site the decision to place the school on lockdown was “a precaution, while the school administration and the police investigate a potential threat.”

The school’s main building remains on lockdown while the Freshman Building has been opened and students are attending classes.

Police are at the school investigating.
