Ant McPartlin is recovering after reportedly being punched in the face in a London pub.
The 35-year-old TV presenter - one half of Geordie duo Ant and Dec - was attacked by a teenage thug while watching a football match at his local drinking establishment in Chiswick, West London.
After the "teenage rudeboy" taunted the star - who had been enjoying a night out with comedy partner Declan Donnelly and his girlfriend, Sky Sports News presenter Georgie Thompson - about his relationship with Dec, he proceeded to thump him in the face.
The attacker, believed to be around 18, shouted: "Where's your girlfriend?"
However, 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!' star Ant kept his cool, and stepped back as fellow pub-goers "jumped in" to protect the telly favourite from the ensuing brawl.
Eyewitness Giedrius Kudzinskas told The Sun newspaper: "Ant didn't react and this bloke launched himself at him and punched him in the face. Ant reeled back and then a big fight broke out as his mates came to help him. Other people jumped in and held back the other guy.
"The bloke was thrown out but when Ant left later, he was waiting for him. There was another lot of shouting and then Ant walked off. It was all totally unprovoked."
Despite his calm and collected attitude, Ant was said to be "furious" at the teenage yob, who had reportedly been trying to wind him up all night.
Mr. Kudzinskas added: "He was furious about what he had said to him."
